Operational Update

As some of you will have heard, the warehouse that many of us smaller importers have long worked with is closing its doors. As current stock moves to a new location, there will be a period when wines are unavailable to order.  To minimise disruption, we are aiming for this to happen in late December and early January, once the holiday rush has eased.

Bonded warehousing is required by law in BC and this closure limits us to a very small number of bigger players.  Their business models, geared to large volumes and high turnover, are ill-suited to the artisanal approach embodied by these wines. At Vino Vancouver and several other wonderful small agencies, we've long strived to make available small quantities of unique wines we're passionate about at the lowest possible cost. Unfortunately, this move will likely force an increase in prices in 2025.  So, please don't delay in picking up some newly arrived Ardèche treasures or other gems on the portfolio! Discover the elegant and enthralling amphora wines of Andrew Beckham, make the holidays sparkle in style with Wonder Womanne, or swoop up one of the last remaining cases of the incomparable Christian Venier or Karim Vionnet

Welcome to Vino Vancouver

Natural wine imports to British Columbia

Established in 2016, Vino Vancouver is a small import agency representing independent producers whose wines are skilled expressions of the magnificent terroirs they inhabit.

Producers on the portfolio cultivate their vines in organic or biodynamic ways, avoiding the fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides that deprive the earth of its richness and beauty.  Their lovingly grown grapes are naturally fermented, using only indigenous yeasts, and elaborated with minimal intervention.  Additives and technical manipulations are avoided and if sulphites are used at all, it is done exceedingly sparingly.  The results are fresh, vibrant, and fun to drink wines that inspire good times and dreams of a better world!

Vino Vancouver collaborates with producers directly and is fully committed not just to the unique personalities of their wines, but also to the importance of supporting sustainable, artisanal, and independent vignerons.
